One's life can change in an instant. For me, that moment came with an accident I witnessed the fragility of life and death, which taught me the priority of first aid firsthand. An accident so severe that it left me not only with physical injury but also profoundly aware of the importance of first aid awareness. During my recovery, I was filled with the guilt that I was at an accident scene and I could not assist with first aid. I wasn't entirely at fault, I was also a casualty who was unconscious but responsive till we were moved to a different vehicle to convey us to the University Teaching Hospital (UITH), Ilorin.
